CTOUCH announced today that its UK entity, CTOUCH UK Ltd, will no longer be trading with the distribution organisation, Exertis Ltd.
CTOUCH products have been distributed by Exertis in the UK for around five years after the distributors successful acquisition of the former AV specialist distributor, Medium UK.
The decision taken by CTOUCH is part of its growth plans in the UK and lends itself in part, to the success of its UK business in selling directly to the Reseller channel over the last 6 months. CTOUCH UK launched the UK warehouse partnership with Relay Technical Transport Ltd earlier this year and has seen a fantastic response from its UK partners.
CTOUCH UKs new Country Manager, Mark Richards, commented “CTOUCH as a European organisation has operated a Channel Direct model in all territories, other than the UK, for a number of years, and with great success. The UK set up the same model at the start of the year, and it has been a huge success for the business, as we have been able to respond more quickly to our customers and offer a greater level of dedicated service and support. Our distribution partnership with Medium and Exertis was a long and successful one, and we thank them for their support of our business”.
The move away from a traditional distribution model for CTOUCH has been driven by market changes and a challenging environment over the last 2 years, and having tested the model and process, they are confident it is a better way of servicing their customers.
Mark continued, “Working directly with our customers allows us to provide complete focus on our products, rather than having the message diluted. We can also guarantee stock availability, credit, and ensure orders and deliveries are correct and on time. To ensure we continue to offer this service, we will be expanding the size of the UK operation in the coming months also.”
