Why did you choose for a job at CTOUCH?
I have known CTOUCH for several years and was already familiar with the sales of CTOUCH products at a previous employer. I am convinced by the professional and well thought-out solutions, the modern and the future-oriented thoughts of the company. The idea of sustainability lived out at CTOUCH matches my ideas, and I am also convinced about the corporate culture with its family atmosphere.
Can you describe your average day?
In my family, I am always the first one to get up in the morning. My working hours start after I have had my coffee (in peace 😊). This consists of both work in the home office and in the car, where I'm on the way to one of our partners or helping out with projects. I usually use the driving time to make phone calls. Contact with people is particularly important to me; it gives me a good feeling when I can contribute as a "problem solver" and consultant to ensuring that the users are satisfied and use the CTOUCH solutions with joy and enthusiasm every day.
What is the most exciting project you have completed so far at CTOUCH and why?
A project with the judiciary that I just won. It was initially a smaller request from a partner, which developed into a larger project after consultation with the end customer. Due to the intensive demand, the diversity of our solutions was brought to the fore in such a way that the decision-makers recognised the potential for further requirements and thus equipped significantly more rooms with our touchscreens.
What do you enjoy most next to your work at CTOUCH?
I am a family man and have children, so that fills most of my private life. In the summer I spend a lot of time in the garden, I love cooking and grilling, hosting friends and family. I love to travel and whenever possible I enjoy a dive, it's honestly where I can switch off best. Underwater and on the beach, I pick up plastic and rubbish with my children, trying to raise their awareness of our environment.
Who is your favourite colleague? Be honest!
A challenging question... There are, to be honest, 2 favourite colleagues: Jessica van Kooten from Inside Sales and Rob Vermeer. Jessica is always my right hand when I am on the road and supports me wherever she can. She is always fully committed and enthusiastic.
Rob, I already know him from my time before CTOUCH, is an absolute professional, he not only inspires partners and end customers with his knowledge and his great, lively product presentations. Whenever I approach him, he is always ready with an answer.
Below are the core values of CTOUCH, which one appeals to you the most? Explain how you use it/them in your job.
As already described at the beginning, I like the personal contact with people. We are personal. It fulfils me to be able to present our intelligent and sustainable solutions for smart collaboration to them. This intensive cooperation makes the difference for me.
What suggestions do you have for someone who wants to do this kind of work?
Our industry is very future-oriented, there is practically no standstill and that is exactly what makes it so exciting and varied. Even after a short time at CTOUCH, I can see what is planned for the coming months and years and what our customers can look forward to. You have to be very communicative and respond to the needs of the customers and the market, develop yourself further and be open to innovations. As a salesperson, you sell yourself first and the solution second, and you have to be convinced of it. If these criteria are met, it's the perfect job!
